Johnson, Michael Walter Age 75 of Oakdale, MN passed away April 1st, 2019. Mike was born August 10, 1943 to Ella Kretsch Johnson and Walter Johnson in New Ulm, MN. He grew up in Winthrop where he graduated. He graduated from Mankato State University and taught his entire career for the Buffalo School District. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, creating wood projects, sailing, reading, and model building. The family made the trip to Topsail Island, North Carolina for the winter at his request where he passed away. Mike is survived by his wife Sharon, daughter Michelle Bynum (Tim), sisters Joan Conzano (Pete), Haslett, TX, Pat Scheman (Ken), Pelican Rapids, MN; sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held later this spring. Memorials may be sent to the Minnesota Animal Humane Society, the Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, NC or organizations of your choice.
