Durkee, Donald Bjorklund age 26, of Richfield, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 11, in his home. He is survived by his loving wife, Emily (White) Durkee; parents, David Durkee and Brenda (Bjorklund) Durkee; sister, Anna Durkee; and grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly. Donald was born in Minneapolis and lived most of his life in Eden Prairie, graduating from Eden Prairie High School in the class of 2011. Active in theater and choir in high school, Donald became a popular vocalist in the Minnesota metal scene. He performed at various times with the bands Down Infierno, Oklahoma Caddy Shack, and Graveslave. He toured much of the country with Graveslave in the last few years and toured 20 cities in Europe with the band for a month in 2018. He also loved acting in music videos for his bands and others. Friends and family remember Donald for his kind, welcoming, inclusive, and funny nature and loving heart. A memorial service will be held at Interlachen Country Club in Edina on April 25 with visitation beginning at 4:00, the service at 5:00 with refreshments to follow.
