Ayers, William D. Age 85 of Anoka, formerly of Coon Rapids, passed away April 13, 2019. Survived by wife, Shirley; daughters, Marcia (Steve) Frank, Michelle (Mike) Bates, Lisa (Zibley); sons, Jim (Sharon), John (Janell), Jerry (Darcee); 15 grandchildren, 2 great- grandchildren; brother, Gary (Debbie) Ayers. US Army Veteran 82nd Airborne, member of Anoka JC's, Knights of Columbus St. Stephens Council 2018, member of Anoka City Council, coach of youth sports and Boyscout leader. Bill was an avid fisherman, loved woodworking, camping, was a Vikings fan, and loved time spent with family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial, Wed. April 24, 11am in the Church of St. Stephen, 525 Jackson St. Anoka. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church.
