Hawrysch, Bessie W. Age 93, of Brooklyn Park, born January 25, 1926 in Calstock, England, passed away peacefully on March 19. Survived by children Anna (David) and Jackie (Mark), grandchildren Andrew (Melissa), Matt (Amy), Jeremy (Maggie), Justin & Marisa, great-grandchildren Tom, Tatum, Claire & Alice and in the UK, sister Doris, brothers Len (Joan), Tom (Janet) & Fred (Thelma) and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband Nikolas, parents William & Doris Cackett, siblings Harold and Ellen. Bessie grew up in Tavistock, England and met Nikolas there after WWII. They married in 1952 in MN, where they settled and raised their family. Bessie enjoyed her time working at Woolworth and Hallmark Cards. Our family thanks the staff from Tradition and MN State Services for the Blind for all they did for her. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, April 27th at 11:00 at Glen Haven Funeral Chapel, 5125 W. Broadway, Crystal, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to service and lunch will be held after. A private family burial will take place later that day. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be donated by the family in Bessie's name.
