Streu, Richard MD Age 89 of Minneapolis born July 9, 1929. Preceded in death by father Erwin; mother Leona; and brother John. Survived by daughter Gretchen; sons Douglas and James (Laurie); and grandson Daniel Spaulding II. Raised in Minneapolis, attended Patrick Henry High School Hall of Fame Inductee. Undergraduate and medical school at U of M. Family physician at Camden Physician Associates from 1961 until retirement in 2000. Chief of staff at North Memorial Hospital, president of MN Academy of Family Physicians. Board of Hennepin Medical Society. Clinical Professor at U of M, continued to teach long after his retirement, served on the board of West Health, Plymouth MN. Outstanding service award from MN Medical Assoc. Served in the USAF as hospital sergeant major and first sergeant from 1951-1954 in Colorado, New Mexico and Germany. He enjoyed his family, church, hunting game birds, fishing, golfing, gardening. Wintered in AZ after retirement. Memorials may be sent to the Golden Valley Lutheran Endowment Fund for scholarships. Service 11 am Friday March 29th at Golden Valley Lutheran Church 5501 Glenwood Ave Golden Valley.
