Florence Helen (Baskfield) Myslajek
Myslajek (nee Baskfield), Florence Helen Florence Helen Myslajek, born on January 22, 1925 in Minneapolis Minnesota to parents Harold Sylvester and Florence Helen (Connell) Baskfield at St. Barnabas Hospital, died on February 19, 2019 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Survived by daughters, Mary Victoria Myslajek and Catherine (Myslajek) Witting (John); sons, Stephen John Myslajek (Susan), Patrick Gerald Myslajek (Kelleen), and grandchildren, Stephanie, Sara, Joseph and Hannah. Preceded in death by beloved husband, John Joseph Myslajek, and daughters, Paula Teresa and Anne Christine Myslajek. Attended Minneapolis Elementary Schools and St. Margaret's Academy for High School. Grad-uated with a B.A. in English from the University of St. Catherine (class of '46), St Paul, Minnesota. Continuing on to receive a Masters in Journal-ism from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Retired from Coast to Coast Stores in Minneapolis and the Metro-politan Council in St. Paul. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Longtime member of the League of Women Voters, Minneapolis Municipal Hiking Club, Irish and Minnesota Genealogical Societies, American Association of University Women, St Joan of Arc Catholic Church, and an active lifelong learner enrolled at OLLI, (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) U of M. Visitation Thursday February 28, 2019 from 4 to 7 PM at Washburn-McReavy Davies Chapel, 2301 Dupont Ave S Mpls, tel.612-377-2203. Services will be at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 4537 3rd Ave S, Mpls at 10 AM, Friday March 1, 2019 with visitation at 9:30 AM. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, lot G977. Memorials preferred to Florence's favorite charities or any organizations listed above.
