Deschene, John B. Age 82, of Burnsville, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. John was born on September 22, 1936 in Argyle, MN to Albert and Georgiana (Herbert) Deschene. He proudly served his country in the US Navy on the USS Cushing as a sonar technician from 1955-1958. He studied Accounting at Bemidji State University and University of North Dakota where he graduated and became a CPA. On June 8, 1968 he was united in marriage to Doreen (Houle) in Bottineau ND, moved to Burnsville MN, and raised 6 children. He owned his own accounting practice in Lakeville for nearly 40 years. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Lakeville Lions Club, and the American Legion. John enjoyed visiting with family, playing Pinochle and other games, fishing at the Lake of the Woods, Sunday afternoons at Mystic Lake, horse races and Texas Hold'em at Canterbury Downs. John is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Doreen; children Tammy (Ted) Schirck, Craig (Jennifer) Deschene, Deanna (Paul) Robinson, Tina Deschene, Keri (Stacey) Leecy and Shawn Deschene; grandchildren Jason & Sara Schirck, Luke & Bella Deschene, Casey, Emily & Nicholas Robinson, Austin (Kristina) Deschene, Jordan & Alexis Boerboom, Parker Leecy; siblings, Liz Kleinvachter, Richard, Leonard, Joe (Mary Ann) & Theresa Gabriel; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Cameron & Brooke; siblings, Louis, Leona Anderson, George, Lawrence, Rose Clausen, Evelyn Pawlowski, Daniel, and Mayme Przeporia. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4625 W 125th St. Savage, MN. Visitation 5-8PM, Tuesday February 5, at White Funeral Home, 128 Nicollet Ave S., Burnsville, MN and 1 hour prior to Mass at the church. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be donated to the Children's Minnesota Foundation. Condolences: whitefuneralhomes.com
