Margotto, Bertha "Bert" of Columbia Heights was called to be with God on Mon. Jan 21, 2019, the exact same day the love of her life Tom died 22 years previously. Bert was born Dec. 31, 1925 in St. Cloud to Norbert and Mary (Bach) Koshiol. She attended St. Wendelin's School in Luxemburg and Cathedral High School in St. Cloud. She followed her sisters to the Twin Cities to work and it is there she met this handsome Italian man named Tom Margotto. They were married on June 5, 1946 at St. Wendelin's Catholic Church in Luxemburg. She was a homemaker and later worked as a baker at Land O'Lakes until her retirement. Bert is survived by her children, Roger of Los Alamos NM, Linda (John) Kaiser of Luxemburg, Wayne (Jan) of Andover, and Tom (Debbie) of Cumberland WI; 7 grandchildren, Janice (Tim) Fisher, Jeff Kaiser, Jaime (David) Krupa, Jessica (Keven) Truhler, Jason Kaiser, Tony (Dawn) Margotto, Casey (Eric) Tody; 17 great-grandchildren. Bert also leaves behind her siblings, Tom (Dorothy) Koshiol of St. Cloud and Mary Lou (Chet) Zalewski of Spokane WA. Her husband, Tom on Jan 21, 1997; her parents and siblings, Christine Kremers, Adeline Weyen, Norbert Koshiol; and infant daughter, Mary preceded her in death. Mass of Christian Burial, Sat. Jan 26, 2019 10am at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 4030 Jackson St. NE, Columbia Heights. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church. Entombment Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope.
