Lindgren, D. Kenneth D. Kenneth Lindgren passed away peacefully on January 16th, 2019. He was 86. He grew up in Edina. He and Pat raised their family in Hopkins and shared time between MN and Scottsdale for the past 25 years. He is survived by his brother Keith (and Janet) Lindgren, and his sister Kathy (and John) Bowers, as well as a daughter Carol Mathie, two sons Christian (and Kim) and Charles (and Coleen) plus seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years Patricia. Ken was a 1950 graduate of Minnehaha Academy before earning his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Minnesota. After serving as an officer in the Air Force, he was a founding partner of Larkin, Hoffman, Daly & Lindgren law firm in Minneapolis. Ken was very active in a number of organizations including the Minnesota Arboretum, Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) and University of Minnesota Founders Society. He was a member of the Minneapolis Athletic Club where he excelled on the handball court and Interlachen Country Club where he was President twice. He also enjoyed being physically active throughout his life spending his free time playing handball, skiing, golf and tennis. He was an avid gardener and collector of Native American art. Ken and Pat enjoyed spending time with their life-long friends, traveling the world and spending time with their children and grandchildren Hayley, Becker, Charlie, Frank, Norman, Gunnar and Finn. Services will be held Friday January 25th at Christ Presbyterian Church located at 6901 Normandale Road, Edina, MN. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation on Ken's behalf to the Minnesota Arboretum.
