Van Hoef, Mrs. Lois Eileen passed away from this life into eternity on January 9, 2019. She was born the daughter of Ted and Theresa (Kuekelaar) Kieft of Grand Haven on December 27, 1926. She attended Grand Haven Christian School and graduated from Grand Haven High School, class of 1944. She attended Calvin College and earned her nursing degree, working at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. Lois married Robert F. Van Hoef at First Reformed Church in Grand Haven on May 26, 1950. She made a loving home for her family in Muskegon, Lansing, and St. Paul, Minnesota. Lois was active in church activities and supported many Christian organizations. She loved and was dedicated to her husband Robert for nearly 60 years, and now enjoys their heavenly reunion after being apart for nearly 11 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert. F. Van Hoef; parents, Ted and Theresa Kieft. A loving mother and sister, she is survived by: brother, Larry (Christine) Kieft of Grand Haven; son, Mark (Carolyn) Van Hoef of McMinnville, OR, son, Robert (Debra) Van Hoef, of Bloomington, MN, and daughter, Susan, (Michael) Beecroft, of Prior Lake, MN; nine grandchildren: Abby, Ashley (Jake), and Mitchell Van Hoef, Allison (Eric), Jacklyn and Madison Van Hoef, Robert T, Maggie, and Molly Beecroft. We celebrate her life and thank God every day for her gift of 92 years and look forward to our reunion in heaven. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 12, 2019 at First Reformed Church (301 Washington Ave, Grand Haven, MI 49417) with Rev. John Koedyker officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 -11:00 AM at church before the service. Interment will take place in Lake Forest Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Lois may be given to Samaritans Purse International Relief, Boys and Girls Club, Twin Cities or Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities. Guestbook: sytsemafh.com
