Dreyer, Robert "Duke" 87 of Saint Paul passed away in his sleep on Nov. 22. Duke was born in Chicago, IL on May 25th, 1931 to Marie and Robert Dreyer. He attended Loyola University in Chicago. A dedicated father who worked for many years as a State Farm Agent, he enjoyed volunteer teaching at John A. Johnson Elementary school. Duke was a proud US Army soldier and Korean War veteran. Survived by his ex-wife Mary; eight children, Robert (Julie), Mark (Phyllis Schultz), Cathy Zapien, Steve (Karen), Philip (Mary Sue Schrantz), Tom, Jane (John Strobel), and Shawn; thirteen grandchildren, Chris, JR, Alison, Nick, Anna, Bethany, Amanda, Brian, JJ, Corey, Rachel, Kevin and Erin; five great grandchildren; and three sisters, Kathleen (Ed Tobin), Elizabeth (John Bennet), Virginia (Richard Navarro). Preceded in death by brothers, James and William; sister, Janet; and son-in-law, Robert Zapien. Memorial services will be held at the Cremation Society of Minnesota at 1979 Old Hudson Road in Saint Paul, MN on December 8th from 2pm to 5pm. Memorial donations may be made to the John A. Johnson Elementary school music department.
