Alberg, Jo Anne Louise died November 25, 2018. Jo Anne was born to Emil and Elsie Alberg on September 1, 1924 at Saint Luke's Hospital in St. Paul. She lived in the Macalaster Highland neighborhood close to Davern Street with her parents for most of her life. Jo Anne attended Mattocks Grade School and graduated from Central High School in 1942. Later she attended the University of Minnesota and graduated with Honors. Her focus was writing. Jo Anne was employed by Norwest Airlines during World War II and worked at Holman Field, St Paul Airport and then later at American Red Cross. She had great satisfaction in working for Hubert Humphrey and communications with Abba Eban of the United Nations. She was blessed in her old age by the care of the Highland Park Block Nurse, Dr. Guiton, the Episcopal Home in St Paul and the help of Howard Cutts. Jo Anne is survived by her brother, Alan Alberg, her sister-in-law, Winnifred and their four children, their spouses, their grandchildren and cousins in Norway. A memorial service will be held at Messiah Episcopal Church, December 27 at 2:00 pm, Ford Parkway and Macalester, St. Paul, Minnesota.
