Jack W. Berry, an 18-yr resident of Eden Prairie, was always a gentleman. Kind, humble, compassionate, and known as a snappy dresser, he passed away on November 11, 2018 at age 93.

Dearly loved father, goofy grandfather (affectionately known as "Pops"), and special great grandfather, he died peacefully at Good Samaritan Society in Waconia.

A World War II veteran from the US Army, Jack retired from Sears Roebuck & Co. in 1990 after 35 years. Jack and his wife, Joan, loved to travel and counted Greece and Guatemala as some of their favorite stops.

Jack was also a lifelong Methodist and spent many hours volunteering as a Sunday School teacher and trustee and, in his 70s, made several mission trips to the Caribbean.

He is preceded in death by parents, Glenn Lee Berry Sr. and Beryl Asenath Berry (nee Murph); wife, Joan Berry (nee Kuwitzky); brother, Glenn Lee Berry Jr.; & sister, Helen Marie Steward (nee Berry). Loved and cherished by daughters, Peggy (Steve) Benedum, Linda (Guy) Weegmann, Janet (Greg) Palmer; and son, Glenn E (Linda) Berry; grandchildren, Jason Weegmann, Bryan Benedum, Danny Weegmann, Kelley Benedum, Emily Palmer, Katie Weegmann & Maddie Palmer; and great-granddaughter, Fern Weegmann.

Jack's positive outlook, his penchant for random explanations of things, and his love of jigsaw puzzles will be missed. Memorial service Tuesday December 11 at 1:30 pm Good Samaritan United Methodist Church, 5730 Grove St, Edina. Memorials preferred to the donor's favorite charity.
