Geheren, Michael John of Duluth, age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2019 in his beloved Duluth, MN surrounded by his loving family and close friends. Mike was born in Benson, MN on August 25, 1938 to Thomas and Dorothy (Welsh) Geheren. Mike and Sheila (Johnson) of Willmar, MN were married September 9, 1969 and have been blissfully married for forty-nine years. Mike and Sheila were entrepreneurs. He spent summers at Pike Lake near Duluth and winters in Lakeland, FL. He enthusiastically welcomed any and all family and friends to both homes. In Lakeland, Mike and Sheila were known for hosting a poolside waffle brunch for friends. Mike was an engaging storyteller and will be fondly remembered for his good humor and one-liners. Mike is survived by his wife Sheila and children Greg and (Mary Lou Huff) Geheren of Mahtomedi, MN; Cindy and (Bill) Thurston of Anoka, MN; Troy and (Linda) Geheren of Anoka, MN; Mike and (Lauris) Geheren of Virginia Beach, VA; Stefany and (Brian) Dolmat of Virginia Beach, VA; Patrick Geheren of Atlanta, GA; Mark Geheren of Anoka, MN and his twenty grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
