Kulseth, John T. "Jack".     John Thomas Kulseth, 81, formerly of Minneapolis, passed away on 9/03/2018 in Crystal River, FL. Jack was born in Minneapolis on 12/14/1936 to Oscar and Annie (Eide) Kulseth. He attended South High until joining the Marine Corps at age 17. After his discharge at the rank of Sgt, he attended Worthington Community College. Once back in Mpls., Jack spent a few years at the Grain Belt Brewery before joining the Minneapolis Police Department in 1967. Jack's compassion for the misfortunate and the mistreated marked his time as a police officer/detective and his entire life. He never turned his back on anyone with a problem, whether friend or stranger. After 20 years with the MPD, Jack joined the Hennepin County Public Defender's Office as an investigator. In 1998, he retired. In 1991, Jack met Kari Flodin, who became the love of his life, and he of hers. They affirmed their romance by marrying in 2010. Jack was an avid athlete and sports lover. He played basketball at South High, football in the Marines and college, and for decades played for numerous local baseball, softball & fastpitch teams. He was a die-hard Twins fan and a team security officer during the '80's. One of his favorite memories was of being in the Twins' dugout when they won the '87 World Series. Jack also cherished music and was well known for impromptu serenades. He loved to make people laugh. Even more, he loved people who made him laugh. He was blessed to have a huge circle of friends and family with whom to share so many good times and adventures. Preceded in death by parents; siblings, Howard, Chuck, Tam, Marian, Ardelle Burns, and Bob; brother-in-law, Jerry Burns and sisters-in-law, Carol Kulseth and Delores Kulseth. He leaves his loving wife, Kari Flodin Kulseth; best pal and kitty, Daisy Doo; nephews & nieces Rick, Mike, John, Mitch and Kris Kulseth, Kathy (Kulseth) Day, Tom Hussman and Tammy Hussman. Memorial service at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH CHAPEL (1918 University Ave. NE) Saturday, Oct. 13th at 2 PM with visitation one hour prior.
