Throughout her nursing career, she would work in numerous hospitals and care centers, including Glencoe, Asbury, Hennepin County, and Innsbruck Nursing Home. She married Glen R. Involved in the founding of the Lodhipur Committee, Evelyn and her husband would create India Imports, establishing an exchange between the company and the Lodhipur Technical Institute of India (now Nave Technical Institute). The couple would manage the India Imports booth at the Minnesota State Fair for 18 years, lead educational outreach at schools and churches, and build friendships with long-standing collectors. Possessing a curiosity and a love of learning, Evelyn was an active member of Bible study groups, community organizations, and clubs, including the Izaak Walton League of America and Lady Slipper Antique Club.
