Anderson, George "Bud" 97, of Edina, affectionately known as "Old Coot," passed away September 5, 2018, from complications of dementia. A WWII vet, he spent his career as an accountant. He was a talented pianist as well as an enthusiastic golfer and sportsman. He was also known for his outgoing personality and an endless supply of snappy one-liners. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hilma and George Anderson; sisters, June and Lorraine; and his wife of 50 years, Shirley Ford Anderson. He is survived by children, Shelley (Pat) Arnold of St. Cloud, Laurie of Lexington KY, and Jim of Edina; grandchildren, Erin (Kent) Herbst of St. Michael, MN, Jim Arnold (girlfriend Diana) of Papillion, NE, and great grandchildren Ella, Adam, Gwen and Paige Herbst. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. on Sat., Oct 6, with service at 2 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
