Westrom, John T. Age 93, from Lakeville, Minnesota passed away on Thursday evening, September 13, 2018. John was born August 31, 1925 in Braham, Minnesota to parents, Marie and Anselm Westrom. He was preceded in death by sisters Joyce, Jean, Ruth "Beels" and is survived by sister, Betty "Betts." During childhood his family moved from Grasston to Cambridge, Minnesota where John completed high school. John and his wife of 50 years, Harriet Westrom, deceased in 2006, resided in Bloomington, Minnesota. They had three children, John "Jay" Westrom, Lynn "Hilary" Westrom and Anne McKinney and two grandchildren, Nicole McKinney and Daniel McKinney. For 48 years, John worked as a trust officer at First National Bank of Minneapolis (now US Bank) until his retirement. He continued as an advisor to the Katherine B. Andersen Fund as well as the St. Paul Foundation until the time of his death. John loved spending time with family, playing Bridge, watching Minnesota sports teams and college basketball, singing in his sister Joyce's and brother-in-law Fred's "The Frederic Hilary Chorale," playing guitar and folk singing. His favorite occupation was as his grandchildren's babysitter. The memorial service will be held at the Cremation Society, 7110 France Ave, Edina, MN 55435 on Saturday, September 22 at 6pm.
