Gerald DeWayne 'Jerry' McGuire
McGuire, Gerald "Jerry" Went peacefully to his eternal home Sep. 7 at the age of 82, after a decade of living in strength while battling Parkinson's Disease. Steward of the family's WWII Victory Garden, Dairy Fresh milkman legend, jack of all trades, an Irish bard. Born in 1935 in Minneapolis to John B. and Julia (Moran) McGuire. Preceded in death by siblings Merlin, Warren, Dolores, John Jr. and Marcella. Survived by best friend and wife Patty, and many cherished friends and family, including youngest sister Pat Belanger. With peace and love to the families of children David, Jackie, Jerry Jr., Nancy, Sarah, Steven and Tom. With gratitude to Jerry's hospice angels. Visitation 5-7 pm, Thursday Sep. 13, Washburn-McReavy Hillside Chapel, 2610 19th Ave. NE, Minneapolis (612-781-1999).
