King, Sally Lee (Carlson) Age 68 of Edina, passed away on August 9, 2018. Sally graduated from Washburn High School and attended the University of Minnesota. She married her partner-in-crime, John King, in 1969. Together they raised a family, built a business, and spent many happy years working side by side. To her beloved grandchildren, she was known as Nana. Nana had an incredible way of making each one of them feel adored and unique. She gave everything of herself to those she loved. This was especially apparent as she cared for her husband John throughout his battle with dementia. She was a beautiful free-spirit who will be deeply missed and remembered for her faith, unconditional love, and generous nature. Preceded in death by husband, John; and sister, Polly. Survived by daughters, Gretchen King (Kaveh Mirfakhraie), Megan (Stuart) Nutting, and Margaret (Christopher) Davis; and 12 grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Jane Grider and Christine Ensminger; brother, David Carlson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life at 2:00pm on Wednesday, August 22nd at Colonial Church of Edina, reception to follow. Private interment.
