Dona Marie (Otto) Castonguay

Castonguay, Dona Marie (nee Otto) of Maple Grove, lived a long full life of 89 years, being an extraordinary servant to others during that time. As she finds her place in heaven, she will continue to serve at the table of those who've gone before her. She loved them, and they include her husband George Castonguay, parents Othmar and Elsie Otto, brother, Norbert, sisters, Blanche, Jane, and Mariana. Also many brothers- and sisters in- law, and father- and mother in-law. Dona also served in her faith community at St. Joe's Catholic Church, serving funerals. From her children and spouses, Dan & Jessica, Duane, Diane and Bill, Therese and Mark, George, and Doug and Roxanne come thanks for getting up early every morning to keep us fed and well taken care of, and for knitting thousands of mittens to keep our hands warm. From her grandchildren Jacques, Josetta, Marc, Elise, Jonathan, Julian, Kathryn, Blake, Sarah, Jacquelyn, Lauren, Stephanie, Daniel, Mendota, Amanda, Zach, and Jonah come thanks and loving memories for sharing time, eating too many of her good cookies and for the beautiful baby blankets made for them. And for her growing brood of great-grandchildren, Kendra, Hunter, Carter, Julius G, Mateo, Amadeus, Margot, Julius A, Merlin, Kason, Ayden, and the two newest announcements, it is up to your grandparents to let them know how to be a mom and parent, because in our hearts, mom wrote the book! Mom made her own flavor of good things to eat and so we wish you to go to Gearty Delmore website to get a flavor of her life. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Sat., Aug. 18 at the Church of the Sacred Heart, 41st and Hubbard Ave N., Robbinsdale, with interment following at Gethsemane Cemetery.
