Philblad, Mary Colleen (Young) Age 76 of Mendota Heights. Passed away peacefully on July 26, 2018 in the loving presence of her family. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Lyle (1992); and her daughter-in-law, Kathleen Driscoll (2014). Survived by son, Pete (Audra); daughters, Polly Philblad & Pamela (Steve Lange) Philblad; grandchildren, Trevor, Kyle & Tony; and brother, Tommy Young. Mary was born & raised in Bozeman, MT. She graduated from Humboldt High School in St. Paul in 1960. Mary's early occupations include being a car-hop for Porky's Drive In, St. Paul to being an operator for Ma Bell Telephone Company. Later she met her husband, Lyle whom she married & had 3 beautiful children. Mary then drove a school bus for ISD 197 for over 45 years before retiring in February of 2017. Her passion was volunteering her time to the Powder Puff Clown Club, St. Paul, MN as the funniest, goofiest clown you would ever meet. Her hobbies included gardening, bird-watching & raising/breeding Yorkshire Terrier dogs. Mary will be remembered for her life-long friendships, being a dedicated wife and mother, her everlasting humor & wit, and most important all of the lives she touched and graced. Funeral Service 11AM Tuesday, August 7th at KLECATSKY & SONS WEST CHAPEL, 1051 So. Robert St. @ Arion in West St. Paul. A Gathering to celebrate Mary's life will be held on Monday, August 6th from 1-7PM & also 1 hr. prior to the Service on Tuesday all at the funeral home. Immediately following the funeral service on Tuesday, a time of sharing with family & friends will be held. Private interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery will follow.
