Andre, Robert "Buddy" Age 97, passed away at Mt Olivet Careview Home on 7-18-18. Preceded in death by wife Loraine; infant son, Richard; sister, Elaine Kempf; and brothers-in-law, Em Kempf and Jim Schultheis. Survived by children, William (Deb Wolking), James (Ann), Paul (Becky) and Joe Archambeau; grandchildren, Eleni, Henry (Laura), Annalisa and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Lina, Sylvie and Saoirse; sisters-in-law, Agnes Schultheis and Jean Killer; nieces and nephews Kathy, Ralph, Patricia, Susan, Robert and Linda; life-long friend and biking buddy, Fred Parenti; long-time neighbor, Craig Counters and many dear friends. Buddy was born in Canada and served as a Pharmacist's Mate in the US Navy during WWII. He became a US citizen on 08-27-54. Buddy married Loraine on 12-22-45 and they raised their family in Richfield and Bloomington. He and Loraine were founding members of St Richard's Catholic Church where the Andre family cemented friendships with the Alfano and Parenti families. He worked 27 years in the dairy industry and spent his last working years at Burnsville High School where he enjoyed time spent with teachers, students and their sports' teams. Buddy loved playing tennis, biking, running, singing and telling stories and jokes. A special thank you to both the staff at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center and the staff at Mt Olivet Careview Home. You were all part of his family and he was blessed to have you as caregivers and friends. Celebration of Life Service at Mt Olivet Careview Home on 8-10-18 with visitation at 10:30 and service at 11:00 with lunch following. Interment at Fort Snelling at 2:00. Memorials preferred to Mt. Olivet Careview Home.
