Sullivan, Fabiola "Fay" Maus Fay was born May 30, 1924, in Watkins, MN the second of eight children. After graduating from Kimball High School, she moved to Chicago where she worked for Western Union. She married Jack, her supervisor's (Nellie Sullivan) son, in 1947. They settled in Richfield in 1952 where they raised six children and where she lived until October 2017. Fay was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother and friend. She was also a dedicated volunteer in her community and was particularly active at her church, St. Joan of Arc, where she was a member for over 40 years. She also volunteered at Children's Hospital of MN for more than 35 years, giving over 5000 hours of her time. Fay died peacefully on July 10, 2018, surrounded by her family. Her family had the opportunity to be with her, say a prayer together, and sing one of her favorite songs. The family feels blessed to have been able to share this fitting way to say goodbye to their beloved mother. Fay was preceded in death by husband, John (Jack); son, Tim; grandson, Shamus Helgason; and good friend Clifford Johnsen. She is survived by her children, Mary (Bob) Coleman, Kathleen (Gary) Nafstad, John, Anne (Lowell) Helgason, Margaret (Tim) O'Connor; her grandchildren, Colleen (Paul) Coleman, Michael (Kate) Coleman, Bridget (Ally) Coleman, Karena (Chris) Nafstad, Kjell (Kristin) Nafstad, Meagan, Erin and Kelly O'Connor; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the dedicated and caring staff of Right at Home and English Rose Suites who helped provide compassionate care and support in Fay's final years. A celebration of Fay's life will be held Friday, July 20th at St. Joan of Arc Church, 4537 Third Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN beginning with visitation at the church at 10:00 AM followed by mass at 11:00 AM. There will be a private burial at a later date.
