William Edward Roach

Roach, William Edward William "Buck" Roach of Rancho Santa Fe, CA passed away on June 23, 2018 at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara (Michaelson), sons Todd (Renee) and Eric (Angela), grandchildren Dominic, Brendan, Elsie and Leah Roach, Ian and Ryan Kearney and brother Edward (Bonnie). Buck was born in Faribault, MN on February 28, 1943 to Harold and Virginia (Jurgenson). After graduating from Faribault high school he attended the University of Minnesota. There he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. He graduated in 1965 with a degree in economics. On June 25, 1966 Buck and Barbara were married. His first job after graduation was for IBM. In 1975 he along with Larry Erickson and Hugh O'Connell purchased Computype Inc. He had a lifelong love of golf and had been a member of the White Bear Yacht Club in MN and the Del Mar Country Club in CA. There will be a private burial service on July 9th at El Camino Memorial in San Diego. A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on July 25th at the North Oaks Country Club, 54 E Oaks Rd, North Oaks, MN between 2 and 5 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to donor's choice or to Monarch School, 1625 Newton Ave, San Diego, CA 92113.
