Hubbard, Nancy Rae (Smeby) 60, of Grygla, Minnesota, passed away April 11, 2018 after an extended battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held on June 23, 2018 at 5:00 PM at Waite Park Wesleyan Church in Minneapolis, MN. Flower arrangements can be sent to Waite Park Wesleyan Church (1510 33rd Ave. NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418). Nancy was born in Thief River Falls, MN on November 29, 1957. She graduated from Grygla High School and continued on to receive her Bachelor's and Master's degree in International Leadership from Crown College. Nancy was married to Perry Hubbard on December 15, 1979; they were married 38 years. Nancy served Global Partners as a missionary for 31 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Nancy was actively involved in her ministries and passionately served children in need, helping to found the Ruimveldt Children's Home and Care Center for children infected/affected by HIV/AIDS in 2006. She was a key instructor and developer of the cross-cultural training program for the JIBACAM missions board of the Wesleyan Churches of Latin America. She was known by many around the world and loved by all that knew her. Nancy is survived by her husband, Perry; children, John (Valerie), Jeffrey (Heather), and Jessica; grandchildren, Donovan and Tobias; mother, Doris; three brothers, Jim (Eileen), Lowell (Rochelle), and Paul (Marie); two sisters, Pam (Tim) and JoAnn (John), and other family. Nancy is preceded in death by her father, John Smeby. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Global Partners (Mail to: PO Box 50434 Indianapolis, IN 46250; Phone: 317-774-7950) for either the Ruimveldt Children's Home and Care Center (RCHCC) (Project #: WM06-1504) or the Latin American Training Program (Project #: WM06-1020).
