Boyer, Howard Gilbert 86, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died peacefully at home surrounded by family in Wayzata, MN on April 16, 2018. Howard was born on June 26, 1931 in Black River Falls, WI, to Harry and Estella Boyer. His career included working as financial controller for Reid Ray Film Industries, Control Data Corporation, Data 100 and as president and CEO of Commonwealth Leasing Corporation. In retirement he owned and operated Shoreline Sports Center in Webster, Wisconsin and Boyer Real Estate Company. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Jeanne Pomeroy (Bud) and Mary Larson (Art). Howard is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Geraldine and 6 children, John Boyer, Mary Hollway (Bill), James Boyer, Anne Paske (Kurt), Sarah Willson (Chris), Patty Schaller (Tim) and 13 grandchildren, Billy (Katie), Mike and Molly Hollway; Howard and Megan Boyer; Karl, Jimmy and Cathy Paske; Danny, Ellie, and Mark Willson; Charlie and Joe Schaller. Howard's shared passion in life was the love of his wife and family and his strong faith in God. He enjoyed spending time at the family lake home on Devil's Lake. He loved singing and fishing with his dogs, and perfecting the game of golf with three holes in one. Howard will be remembered for his laughter, positivity and compassion. He will be greatly missed by family and friends and his spirit will live on through those who knew him. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 19, 2018 5-8 pm at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 Wayzata Blvd East, Wayzata, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 20, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 630 Wayzata Blvd East, Wayzata, MN, with visitation at 10:00 am, Mass at 11:00 am.
