Daltas, Adella Marie nee Dechaney Adella was born on April 11, 1924 in Minneapolis and she died April 4, 2018 in Winter Garden, FL in her sleep of natural causes after a long illness. Her husband, John Paul Daltas, and parents, Arthur Dechaney and Alameda "Elsie" Eckes, and sisters, Arlene Seemann and Genevieve Larsen are all deceased. She is survived by her children, Arthur Daltas (Ellen Peckham) of Lexington, MA, Philip Daltas of Orlando FL, Kathy Viola (Frank Viola) of Mooresville NC, David Shannon of Bend OR; also by her sister-in-law Evelyn Daltas of St. Paul MN and her grandchildren: Alexander Daltas, Andrew Daltas, Elizabeth Price, John Daltas, Daniel Daltas, Michael Daltas, Frank Viola III, Brittany Gonzalez, Kaley Vogel, James Shannon and Bryan Shannon. She has six great-grandchildren Ciaran and Sasha Daltas, Micah and Kyla Gonzalez, Abigail Daltas, Braden Price, and many nieces and nephews. Adella was a very active, intelligent, attractive and fun-loving woman. She was proud of courses she took in Radio, Speech and Dramatics. She loved horse-back riding when she had the chance and spent many summers with her family in northern Minnesota. She also had a passion for baking and tending to her garden. Her husband John Daltas said he met Adella at a mutual friend's carnival ride: "We met on a merry-go-round and we enjoyed a whole life-time of a merry-go-round together." Adella worked as a secretary for Underwriters Associates, Munsingwear and Old Dutch Foods. She raised her children in Roseville MN and was active in her community with the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, the Heart Association, Roseville Park Foundation and with St. George Greek Orthodox church in St. Paul. Visitation will be at the Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Avenue, St Paul, MN on Thursday April 12 from 4-7 pm. A service will be held at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1111 Summit Avenue, St. Paul, MN on Friday April 13 at 11 am with burial following at Roselawn Cemetery in Roseville, MN.
