Marvin, Matilda M. (Mattie) Age 97, Bloomington, MN, passed away March 16, 2018. Preceded in death by husband Rev. William Richard Marvin and daughter Vera Nell Marvin Stanton. A faithful and loving servant to the church and her family, Mattie was active in civil rights organizations in the 1960's, ecological issues in the 70's and interfaith associations throughout her life. She worked part time for the Minnesota Historical Society, using her sewing skills to design and make costumes for many of the tour guides at several historical sites, including Ramsey House, the James J Hill House, and Fort Snelling. Survived by daughters Mary Patricia Fuchs, Elizabeth Marvin (Rick Schuette) and Susan Marvin; 10 grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild; 5 great grandchildren; 1 of 11 siblings (Mary Jane Landis of OH); many other family members and friends. Memorial service Wednesday 11 AM on June 6 at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, 2200 W Old Shakopee Rd, Bloomington, MN. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Oak Grove Presbyterian Church. Cremation Society of MN 952-924-4100
