Frederick John Wigchers

Wigchers, Frederick John Fred (Freddy), age 67, long-time Richfield resident who later moved to Bloomington, passed away from a heart attack on Friday, March 9. Freddy was a cheerful and gentle soul, trustworthy, extremely punctual, generous, and a weather-forecast enthusiast. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and great-uncle. He loved visiting with his friends and neighbors at Knox Landing and in Richfield. We will miss Freddy a lot, but his memory will remain in our hearts forever. Preceded in death by parents, Helen and Fred Wigchers, sister June Yvonne (Hudson), and an infant sister Janet Rose. Survived by sisters Virginia, Nancy, and Joyce (Roger) Zander. Also survived by nephews, Sam, Nathan and Dan; nieces, Jean, Sharon, Jane, Carol, Maria, April and Laura; great-nephew, Henry; and great-nieces, Katherine, Lily, Abigail, Gabriella, Sophia and Katerina. Also survived by uncle, Wallace Nelson, brother-in-law, Nat Hudson and many cousins. Memorial service Friday, March 23, at 1:00 PM at Morris Nilsen Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave. S., Richfield.
