Dybvig, John David, of St. Paul, MN, passed away February 19, 2018 at the age of 85. David was born January 13, 1933 in Stevens Point, WI to Philip and Agnes Dybvig. After graduating from Minnehaha Academy in 1951, David studied at St. Olaf College, graduating in 1955. Following college, he attended Luther Seminary. David served churches in Cambridge, WI; Laurel, MD; Fresno, CA; Beloit, WI; and Chatfield, MN. He retired in Bellingham, WA where he served as chaplain for the Merchant Marine. He is survived by his sister, Beverly Wold, and brother, Paul Dybvig (Susan McDonald); nieces and nephews Kraig Wold, Dan Wold, Kristi Wold (Jean De Ridder), Karin Wold, Alyssa Dybvig (Ron Quanbeck), and Mary Eide (Jon). A celebration of David's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 4100 Lyndale Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN. Visitation one hour prior to service.
