Judith Elaine Schardin

Schardin, Judith Elaine 76, of Lakeville, formerly of Bloomington, MN, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2018. Judy was born on November 2, 1941 in Minneapolis, MN to Edmund Peine & Margorie Peine (Engel). She is survived by her four children Paula (Paul) Yarnes, Thomas (Sueling) Schardin, Kurt (Connie) Schardin, Susannah (Dave) Hensel, and her seven grandchildren Zachary & Megan Yarnes, Ling & Li Schardin, Lily Schardin, & Natalie & Jeorgia Hensel, as well as her siblings Joan Hanson (Texas) & Pamela (Gary) Zahn of Annandale. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edmund & Marjorie Peine, and her brother, Thomas Peine. Judy was loved by her many nieces and nephews and dear friends, specifically Donna Kay Dalton, her best friend since she was four years old. Judy loved shopping (Galleria and Von Maur specifically), American history (she loved to be quizzed and insisted her grandchildren memorize the Presidents) and spending time with family and her dear friends. Her quick wit and sense of humor will be missed. We are comforted by her last words "I need to get ready; my mom is picking me up for a parade." Her celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota (7110 France Avenue South, Edina, MN 55435) Visitation begins at 2:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 and a reception at 4:00 pm.
