Michael Linden Myers

Myers, Michael Linden Age 84, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2018 in Bloomington, MN. Mike was born in Pocatello, ID, to James and Edna on October 24, 1933. He spent two years in the army, stationed in Alaska, prior to obtaining a degree in education at Saint Cloud State University. He later completed his Masters of Education at the University of Minnesota. Mike was a storyteller at heart. A focus of many stories was his love of teaching, in both his Civics class at Washburn High School (1963-1993) and Drivers Education (1968-2015). He couldn't go anywhere without someone yelling out "Mr. Myers!" Mike spent much of his time with his long-term, loyal circle of friends. Mike is preceded in death by his parents James and Edna, sister Camille, and nephew David. He is survived by sister Marcia (Randy), nephew Chris (Jodi), David's wife Joanna, great- niece Kate, great-nephew Jake, and a loving group of extended family and friends. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 25th from 2pm-4pm at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel, 9940 Bush Lake Rd, Bloomington. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 26th at 11:00am at Pax Christi Catholic Community, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie. A luncheon will follow.
