Lynn Earl Roloff
Roloff, Lynn Earl passed away February 12, peacefully at home, surrounded by his family in Bloomington, Minnesota. Lynn was the husband to the love of his life, Natalie, and father of Michael (Linda), Amy, and Wendy Glenna (Lester). Fun loving and devoted grandfather to Tabitha Priebe (Matt), Kaelyn Roloff, Joshua Clay (Jenny), Tyler Clay (Caitlin), Luke Glenna and Landon Glenna. Great grandfather to Parker and Gabriel Lynn. Lynn and Natalie were childhood sweethearts. The love and playful, sometime sweet sarcastic banter between them brought smiles to all those around them and served as a wonderful example of tenderness to their family. Lynn retired after working many years for IBM and was Northwest Airlines number one flyer. In his retirement, Lynn with Natalie enjoyed travel with friends, his grandchildren and their activities, volunteering at St. Joan's and at the El Bethel Baptist Church clothing ministry. Of course he enjoyed working and playing at the family retreat he helped build. Lynn was at once a saintly soul and, in the best meaning of the word, a rascal. He was always ready to help anyone in need, be it family, friend or stranger. There are many stories of how Lynn went out of his way to be there for whoever might need him. A softer heart and loving soul could not be found. He was always ready to bring a smile to a face by handing out a Snickers bar and was known far and wide for his two-dollar bills. At the same time, Lynn never let a minor rule or societal convention stand in the way of achieving a goal. A man of strong resolve, he never met a boulder he couldn't move, a stick he couldn't grow into a tree, or a tax return he couldn't bend to his will. Lynn has left a hole in our hearts that will never be filled, as he was a remarkable man and servant to all those he loved. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 22, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4537 Third Ave., Mpls. at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. Donations preferred to St. Joan's Outreach Fund or El Bethel Clothing Ministry or charity of your choice.
