Anderson, Robert E. "Bob" 88, went home to be with his Lord Jesus peace-fully on Monday, February 12, 2018. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." - Psalm 116:15. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife Irene in 2014. He is survived by two sons: Jeff (Sharon) and Mike (Becky): five grandchildren: Jason (Stephanie), Amy, Courtney, Michaela (Michael) and Conrad; three great grandchildren: Caleb, Adalyn and Asher; and sister Janice. Bob graduated from Robbins-dale High School in 1947, served in the U.S. Air Force four years and then had a successful career with the Soo Line Railroad. He enjoyed golf and had two hole-in-ones. Bob's life motto was, "Only one life will soon be past and only what's done for Christ will last." He loved his family and served and shared the Good News of the Gospel with many people personally throughout his lifetime. Family visitation will be Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 1pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2pm at New Hope Church, 4225 Gettysburg Avenue N., New Hope, MN 55428. A private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made out to Bibles for Mission Thrift Store, Pulse Outreach or Youth with a Mission.
