Tokheim-Wrieden, Kirsten June Age 46. Born June 28, 1971 in Minneapolis; died in a tragic accident October 3, 2017, in Keokuk, Iowa. Kirsten and a friend were out for their usual walk before heading for school where she was an elementary teacher; Kirsten was hit when a car swerved to miss a small animal in the road. Kirsten was a 1989 graduate of Minneapolis South High School, a 1993 graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and received a master's degree from the University of Northern Iowa. She had been a teacher in the Keokuk Community Schools for 25 years. She is survived by her husband, Jamie, and two children, Brett, 19, and Brook, 15; her parents, Russell and June Tokheim of Edina; brother Mark of Fargo, ND, and sister, Karin Meier of Savage. A remembrance gathering for local friends and family will be held Saturday, February 17, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the Social Room at 7500 York Cooperative in Edina. Services have been held.
