Koehn, Joanne age 86, of Austin, Texas formerly of Eden Prairie, MN, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2018. Joanne was born in Iowa to Julius and Agnes Koehn on May 22, 1931. She began her career as an Administrative Assistant at Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She later followed in the footsteps of her parents and became an antique dealer specializing in Victorian-Era Glass. She owned her own business, Temple's Antiques, for over 30 years, in Minneapolis, MN. She was a dedicated fan of the Minnesota Twins, had a passion for fashion jewelry, and loved to bake, especially around Christmas, for her family and friends. Joanne was a devoted animal lover. Her compassion and love for animals extended beyond her own dogs to her support for multiple animal rescue organizations over her life. She will be remembered most of all for her generosity to her family and friends. Joanne is preceded in death by her brother, Donald and is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Sommers; niece Temple (Ryan) Gossett and great-nephew Graham; nephew, Perry (Shanti) Sommers and great-niece Lisse and close friends, Brett, Mary, Jean & Marie. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 8th at 11am, at Pax Christi Catholic Community, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie, MN. Visitation will begin 30 minutes prior to Mass. Interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 12390 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in Joanne's honor to Pax Christi Catholic Community (paxchristi.com), Austin Pets Alive!
