Joseph Anthony Epping

Epping, Joseph Anthony age 67, of Chaska, passed away on January 22, 2018. He is preceded in death by his wife, Paula, and his parents. He is survived by his children, Tyler (26) and Haley (24); three Brothers, Bill, Jim, Gary, and their families; as well as many other loving relatives and friends. Joe had a passion for education and serving his community. He was a part of the Eden Prairie School District for 27 years, and most recently came out of retirement to serve as the Interim Principal at Cedar Ridge Elementary School. Joe had a gift with his ability to connect and build relationships. He will always be remembered for lighting up the room with his genuine smile and a high five. Outside of work, he found joy in spending time with his kids, friends, and dogs; working on his up and coming painting career; and volunteering his time within many community organizations. His legacy lives on through the interactions and relationships he had with everyone he encountered making each person feel valued. A wake will be held on Monday, January 29th from 4:30-7:30 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at St. Hubert's Catholic Church, 8201 Main St., Chanhassen, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 30th at noon with an 11:00 AM visitation also at St. Hubert's. Burial Service will be at St. Hubert's Cemetery at 3:00 PM.
