Berg, Richard Erving "Dick" of Bloomington 9/26/1924 - 1/10/2018. Survived by son, Steven; daughters, Kristin (Randall Schmidt) and Laurie (Greg) Sapp; and granddaughter, Brooke. Dick spent 40 years in the flour milling and baking industry, holding executive positions at Pillsbury, Fleischman's and Universal Foods. In addition, he was a board member of the Hydrite Chemical Company. Dick was a graduate of the University of Minnesota. He served as a navigator in the Army Air Corps during World War II and in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He left the service as a First Lieutenant. Once retired, Dick visited over 100 countries with his wife of 67 years, Maxine. He split his time between Minneapolis and Rio Verde, Arizona where they had a second home. He enjoyed golf with his friends and singing in the church choir. Donations to Alzheimer's Disease Research are requested in lieu of flowers. Funeral service, 11:30 AM, Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Avenue South, Minneapolis, with a visitation one hour before.
