Stiras, James W. Age 70 of Ramsey, MN. Our independent, funny, unassuming, handsome and kind brother, Jim, succumbed reluctantly after a brave battle with cancer on January 1, 2018. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Sr. and Dorothy Stiras; sister, Dorothy "Dolly" Sexton; brother-in-law, Gerald "Gus" Sexton, of AK; niece, Sabrinia Bahr; special uncle, Richard "Bud" Stiras; beloved aunts, Ruby Stiras and Marian Napoli; along with many wonderful Gellerman relatives. Jim is survived by siblings, Kenneth (Karen) Stiras, Robert (Joanne) Stiras, Maryanne (Russell) Goldi, and Kathleen (Thomas) Schaefer and many nieces, nephews, boat loads of grand- nieces and nephews; special cousins, John (Elaine) Stiras, and Gary (Cindy) Stiras, and Jim's dear friends, Mark and Maggie. Jim is a decorated Vietnam Veteran, and in later years, tomato grower extraordinaire. Bushels full that he shared with family, friends and the food shelf. Lineman for "Ma Bell" for 30 years. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 10th at 11am at Christ Lutheran Church, 641 89th Ave NE, Blaine, MN (763) 784-3300, with a visitation beginning at 10:30am. Interment will be held in the spring at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the charity of your choice. Go out and do something nice for someone, in memory of Jim, he'll be smiling.
