Gearring, Paul Arnold Sr age 57, was born in Gary, Indiana on October 18, 1960 to Sallie Mae (Elliott) Gearring and Denver Gearring, Sr. He died unexpectedly on December 27, 2017 in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota surrounded by his loving sons, Paul Arnold, Jr. and Taylor Devon. Paul attended Williams Elementary School, Pulaski School and graduated from Gary Roosevelt in 1978 with honors. He attended Purdue University in West La Fayette, IN and earned an associates degree in engineering in 1982. He worked at Honeywell Aerospace in Minneapolis, MN for over 32 years. Paul married LaVerne Taylor on August 27, 1988. To this union, two sons, Paul Arnold, Jr and Taylor Devon, were born. His parents and his sister-aunt, Henrene Elliott Averitt preceded him in death. In addition to his sons, he leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Katie G. Pearson (Raymond) of Maple Grove, MN, Caroline G. Majak (Jonathan) of Altoona, Wisconsin, brothers, Denver Gearring, Jr. (Patricia) of Gary, Dr. David Elliott Gearring (Doris) of Sturgis, MI and Morris Gearring, Chicago, IL., an aunt, Wilda Richards of East Chicago, IN, uncles Ronald Gearring (Joyce) of Bolingbrook, IL and Rudolph Gearring (Myrtle) of Gary, IN. He will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, many cousins, and many friends. On Friday, January 5, 2018, a memorial service will be held at Smith, Bizzell and Warner Funeral Home, 4209 Grant Street, Gary, IN. from 5-8 p.m. The family will be present from 7 p.m. A celebration of his life will occur on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Williams Chapel Church of God in Christ, 2201 Tennessee Street, Gary, IN. Pastor Anthony Williams will be officiating.
