Theft. A citizen’s arrest was made on a 33-year-old man after he allegedly stole a candy bar at Super America, 1350 Larpenteur Av.

Suspicious activity. Sexually explicit material was reported in a park near 140th Street and Goodview Avenue.

Vehicle complaint. Authorities responded to a report of a newspaper carrier’s loud vehicle near Quality Avenue and Upper 2nd Street. The vehicle’s tail pipe was missing and the muffler was rusted through. A deputy told the driver that a citation would be issued if the vehicle was not repaired.

Assault. A 19-year-old woman was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct after being stopped by an employee for allegedly stealing a deli chicken at Cub Foods, 100 County Road B.

Vandalism. Someone vandalized playground equipment at Pinewood Elementary School, 5500 Quincy St.

Theft. Two packs of cigarettes were stolen from Holiday Station Store, 2732 County Road 10.

Driving violation. A 25-year-old woman was arrested for a warrant following a traffic stop in the 2300 block of County Road 10. She also was cited for false information to police, driving after revocation, no proof of insurance, possession of hypodermic syringes and failure to drive in a single lane.

Disorderly conduct. Two 27-year-old men were arrested for disorderly conduct after police responded to a report of two men urinating off a bridge onto passing traffic and then running naked down the street in the area of Silver Lake Road and Interstate 694.

Fire. Officers responded to a report of a grass fire in the backyard of a home in the 7000 block of 170th Trail NW. Officers found that it was instead an unattended and smoldering fire pit.

Drugs. A 30-year-old man was cited for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was stopped for failing to signal a turn in the 14800 block of Armstrong Boulevard NW.

JUNE 8

Animal complaint. A fawn was reported trapped in the window well of a home in the 4600 block of 152nd Court NW. An officer released the fawn.

Theft. A purse was stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot at Cub Foods, 3930 Silver Lake Road NE. The vehicle’s windows had been left open.

JUNE 21

Drugs. A 23-year-old woman was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance at Lowry Grove RV Park, 2500 block of Lowry Avenue.

Ordinance questions. A deputy advised a resident in the 11000 block of Bushel Curve about applicable city ordinances regarding BB guns, after she reported seeing several children shooting them in the woods near her home.
