A treatment for sleep apnea

Lack of sufficient oxygen causes the patient to wake up. Studies have linked OSA to obesity, high blood pressure, stroke and congestive heart failure. Inspire Medical Systems Inc. of Brooklyn Park and Apnex Medical Inc. of St. Paul are both developing implantable device technologies that use electricity to treat the disease.
