Deadly threat to ash trees

The emerald ash borer, an Asian bug that has no effective enemies in North America, has killed an estimated 50 million trees in Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinois, Maryland and southern Ontario since its discovery in the Detroit area in 2002.
