Wildlife refuge right in town

Home to coyotes, bald eagles, badgers and beavers, the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge is just 10 miles from downtown Minneapolis. Established in 1976, the refuge covers 14,000 acres and stretches 45 miles from Fort Snelling State Park to Belle Plaine, Minn.
