More urban and suburban same-sex partners in the metro

Minneapolis, with 3,249 same-sex couples, was home to nearly one out of four such couples in Minnesota in 2010. But the city’s share has declined as the number of couples has increased in St. Paul, which had nearly 1,200 same-sex couples, and the balance of the metro area.
