Adding an extra lane on I-94
Weather permitting, the Minnesota Department of Transportation will close I-94 in both directions between Hwy. 280 and I-35W. The project will add a fourth lane in each direction to I-94 to accommodate additional traffic from the I-35W reroute. Also, Hwy. 280 will be reduced to a single lane in each direction. These are MnDOT's recommended detour routes for I-94 traffic.
