Most polls show a relatively close race in Minnesota's sixth congressional district. The Minnesota Poll conducted Oct. 6-12 found an 8-point Wetterling lead after an automated poll by RT Strategies showed a 5-point lead. These automated, or "robopolls," are interactive voice response systems that use a computer to dial people at random and query them using touch tones and computerized voices. Traditional telephone polls, including the Minnesota Poll, generally use human interviewers who dial numbers selected at random.
