Bigger homes for shrinking households

Over the past two decades, as affluent Boomer families sought suburban housing, by far the greatest growth was in the largest-size home the Census Bureau counts: "9 rooms or more" But the number of families with kids is dropping, as the number of one- and -two person households soars. That will have major consequences for Twin Cities suburbs.
