Charges filed against Iowa men accused of beating a sleepwalker after finding him in apartment

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Charges have been filed against three men accused of beating a man who sleepwalks after they found him asleep in one of the men's apartment. Iowa City Police Sgt. Troy Kelsay said the 21-year-old victim who was not identified, suffered injuries over most of his body. Kelsay said the man's injuries did not appear to require hospitalization, but the victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Three men were charged with willfully causing bodily injury. According to a criminal complaint, the three found the man asleep in an apartment early on Aug. 30. The man was staying across the hall, but did not live in the complex.
